Grades: I’m in the process of calculating your quarter 4 grades according to the following table.

All make-up work is due by Thursday, May 28. No work will be accepted after that day. I will enter your Q4 grades into the electronic gradebook portal on Friday, May 29.

Each student will receive my email with the Q4 grade summary. Many of you have already got my email and know your grades.

If not, I will be sending you the grades in the next few days. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your hard work this year. I love being your History teacher. Hope to see you on campus next school year! 😊

We are starting the APEX World History online learning course. You can access the course through MYSCS.

During the first week of the course, April 6-10 you will be working on Unit 4.3 – Classical Greece. Please complete all assignments by the end of the week. I am aware that there are two upcoming religious holidays, Passover and Good Friday. I do not expect those who observe the holidays to complete work on those days. Since you may work at your own pace, please create your personalized schedule and submit the assignments as you complete them.

I appreciate your patience and hard work. Thank you. Miss you all.

Dear Students,

Welcome to quarter four virtual learning school. This is an uncharted territory for most of us, including myself. I’m sure there will be some challenges along the way. Let’s stay positive. We are all in it together. On Monday and Tuesday, March 30-31, all educators will receive an I-CAN training. I will know more about the learning platform by the end of the day on Tuesday and will pass all necessary information to you, including how to submit assignments, the way to communicate, etc.

Our first video conference on ZOOM will take place on Wednesday, April 1st. I will post the hours and the link to join on my website by the end of the day on Tuesday, 3/31/2020. You can download the zoom app on your device or use your computer at https://zoom.us/ See you then😊

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Stay healthy,

Mrs. Lazareva

March 27, 2020

Dear Pine View Students & Parents,

I hope that you are doing well and staying healthy. In an effort to provide an enhanced level of stability for our students during this unprecedented school closure, our district has developed an Instructional Continuity for Academic Needs (I-CAN) Plan to help ensure that our students are provided with multiple learning opportunities until we can return to school.

Beginning April 1, I will post a recommended list of activities. Please check my website daily for assignments and announcements. It is my hope that you find these opportunities beneficial and as a way to continue your learning over the next few weeks.

I know that this is a new and unknown method of learning for all of us, but know that we are engaging in this new opportunity with an abundance of compassion and grace. I am excited to support you in these learning opportunities and in this new delivery method, and please do not hesitate to contact me via email alevtina.lazareva@sarasotacountyschools.net if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Lazareva
